Our founding aim was to help residents benefit from their statutory rights to compensation relating to a the A27 Havant to Chichester trunk road. Residents received £24m of compensation for the noise arising from the eight-mile section of dual carriageway, which at the time had a concrete surface.
We have also had successes with other campaigns over the years, including:
The development of an Incineration strategy for waste material serving the area of SE Hampshire.
The planning refusal of a Waste Transfer Station within Havant
The planning refusal of mobile phone masts in the region
Improvements to Budds Farm
Improved road markings at bottom of Castle Avenue to reduce risk of accidents
‘Keep Clear’ road markings inserted on Southleigh Road at junctions with Fifth Avenue, Hallett Road and Glenleigh Park
A Diamond Jubilee celebration for local residents in Warblington School in 2012
Established a dedicated cycleway/footpath to the town centre alongside the northern end of Warblington school playing field and through the new development off New Lane by the Havant Railway Crossing.
Manor Farm/Copsey housing development – measures to reduce impact on residents in adjacent roads
Stride Community Centre in Nursery Fields
Our current campaigns include:
Provision of a footbridge at Warblington Station
